In 2015 EF were invited to take part in trials of phase balancing units imported from the US. EF was tasked with installing the trial units but on completion of the task EF determined the units did not perform as expected and moreover they did not comply with UK and EU regulations. However, EF was convinced there was a way to reduce power consumption on induction motors by drawing partly on phase balancing know how and partly on power factor control technology and immediately set about developing its own device. In this endeavour EF has been assisted by Dr Bob Emmett, a leading authority on phase balancing who has written a number of white papers on the subject.
In recent trials EF’s PCR devices have proven capable of reducing power consumption on induction motors by 25 – 40%. The devices are CE certified and have a Patent Pending. They comply with the Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Low Voltage (LV) directives and meet all current health, safety and environmental standards.

up front in full, or monthly, based on calculated savings.
